Barry,
to follow on with Otto's thought, if you do not already have this backed up as part of your general computer backup, then you are seriously under prepared.
With a Mac, you should have your whole User(s) folder backed up. With a PC, you should have your AppData backed up.
The content of the folders located in that article, can not be used by themselves. Just a wild guess, but I believe these folders only include settings and pathways to content.
If you have music, audiobooks, podcasts, photos, and more in your iPhone, you also need to back up that, also. Luckily on a Mac, those are also kept in your User folder.
Unless you have moved anything below the Music folder in the following pathway:
Users/ <home>/ Music/ iTunes/ iTunes Media
But that does not include the Photos on your iPhone, like the Camera Roll. I'm not certain where the iPhones photos are kept, but you can back those up with various third party apps, like PhoneView by ecamm.com.
Things like your Contact and Calendar can easily be restored from your iCloud account.
In my case, I have moved the iTunes Library because it has grown too large for my MBP. I keep it on a Drobo (external RAID).
So what specifically are you trying to back up?
Brent
Sent from my iPhone, please excuse any brevity.

Barry,What sort of backup is this? I'd be worried to find such an important set of files were not included. We always say that no one should be without backups but equally important is to check that they include what you want and that you can access the files.OttoOn 21 May 2015 at 07:51, 'Gmail' barrycant0@gmail.com [apple-iphone] <apple-iphone@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
Yes it does, because when I am doing my normal computer backup I noticed that the iPhone backup is NOT included, and I want to correct this.
Having had a hard drive fail in the past I like to make sure I am covered.
