Re: [apple-iphone] Music not syncing

Patti!  Thank you so very much indeed - I can hardly express my gratitude to you and to all the others who have suggested the application senuti.  It worked like a charm and I've now got all my songs from my iPhone 5 onto my new MacBook Pro.  it was simple and very easily done and I'm within the limit of a 1000 songs.  It's amazing how much I've learned from this group.  Thank you very much all of you - thanks Patti, specially you.

just Google senuti - it will show up in the Google search and there's a free trial for 30 days and 1000 songs that you can use.   It's very easy - I just used it myself to put music from an old iPod onto my newer computer.

There were a few other files on my old computer which I still have to transfer to my new one.  Actually I've got four computers all containing little bits of info.  Once I get organized I want to transfer every-thing to my latest MacBook Pro and back it up to the time machine and get rid of all the junk.  Thing is I don't get the time.  But more of that anon.
Right now I tried to find senuti in the ap store but couldn't.  As I said right in the beginning I transferred the music from my wife's computer to my iPhone and then from my iPhone to the other computers.  now for some reason it's not going on to the latest MacBook Pro. how do I transfer it to the MacBook Pro?  The only thing you say is to copy it from the old computer to the new one - okay how do I do that?  Sorry to sound like an absolute novice but I am one at least as far as apple is concerned.

You can use Senuti (I think there are other similar apps) to copy music *from* an iDevice *to* iTunes, but my question always is, if you didn't copy or migrate your iTunes content from your old computer to your new one, what did you do with all your other files?

How come I did not read Sanjaya's reply? Anyway, Otto is right. It has been like that ever since. I think it's Apple's anti-piracy thing. Although I really doubt its effectiveness at that.
So the best thing (and only thing) you can do is copy all the music from your old computer to your new one.
