Also, there is a way to Hide apps you will never use again. You know the ones you tried and hate. Go to your Account in iTunes > Purchased > Edit and select Hide.I'm writing that from memory, but that should be close enough. That method *does* work, but it is unnecessary to go that far.
Do not *automatically* iTunes-sync your iPhone on connection to your computer, and remove the app from the list, in iTunes, of apps to be synced to your iPhone when you do so manually.
