To expand on the issue even further... I am getting my kid's iTunes �purchases on my iPhone (they use my credit card and Apple ID). �I don't mind their music on my Iphone but am afraid to change things in case I delete music from THEIR devices. �What is the proper way to keep music separated on iPhone devices ?

Thanks to those that replied to the original email about Messages, I have it fixed now. �Also, FYI... somehow iOS7 upgrade caused my iPhone 5 to set a Do Not Dsiturb flag and all my calls were going straight to voice mail!

Lets say we have 4 family members, all on one Apple ID

Each iPhone will have send/recieve messages ticked to the cellphone number

One if these, the owner of the Apple ID will also have the Apple ID email address ticked

The other three need to create an iCloud account for themselves, I suggest using their own email address. This will keep iCloud usage, Photostream, contacts etc all personal to each user and not shared.

For these three, add that same email address, theirs, �to Messages - Send/Recieve. iMessages will go to the cell number or email address.

I had the same issue. Go to setting-messages and then you will see send and receive. �Select the the arrow on the right and you will see all the send and receive phone numbers and emails that have been selected for SMS messages on your phone. In select the ones you don't want. ��
