I know of 3 book writer apps for the Apple platform. 2 of them will make PDF's as well. I don't know much about the 3rd, Book Writer for iPhone.

Hard to say. Its less intuitive as we are new to it, we knew iOS6.

What I do see every year, is changes are made and Apple doesn't really help with that. Be really helpful if they included a deletable app that lists the changes that existing users will need to know to reduce the learning curve. Not the manual, no one is going to read that end to end. Just a quick guide where there has been a change.Little things can seem a pain if we have to work them out ourselves or rely on reading what others learnt.

Yes. I figured out that to delete one message there is a garbage can that shows up at the bottom and it deletes the
checked messages.
Pressing the delete all message at the top does just that.

At first I didn't see the trash can at the bottom.
