Re: [apple-iphone] Saving File on iPhone

Excuse me, I meant to say, why, most of us use it with no problem. Maybe there is something you are missing in IMAP.

Brent

Sent from my iPhone, please excuse any brevity.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Using IMAP will create more problems for me than it will solve.

Thanks anyway.

If you switch to IMAP, you can control when the messages get deleted…

1. File is  25kB

2. I review email on iPhone when I'm  away from home and respond to anything urgent (and delete the "spam") but it disappears from the iPhone when I start up my desk computer and it downloads all the messages.

3. All I want to do is  retain some brief information (actually a paragraph of the Building Regulations, Part M) on my phone. Having a separate device would  defeat the purpose, which is  to have the information readily available.

Very many thanks

Is  there an easy (and foolproof) way to transfer a file from my Apple Computer (running OS 10.6.8) to my iPhone (running iOS 12.4), please?
MC Black

How big is the file?
Do you do email on the iPhone?
Do you want a storage device that can be connected to both iPhone and Mac (separately)?
