It was done on Windows. We had no Mac available. The original backup to the hard drive was done with a Win 7 machine also. If I had taken my old Win 7 machine, we could have moved the files with out extra software.
We did use AirDrop between devices but that does not solve getting them off of a USB portable drive in a format that can be edited or deleted.
