Re: [apple-iphone] X

No I didn't know about this at all.  Thanks so much for telling me.  I'll try it.

Lovely as it is it is also cumbersome to use and to access an ap quickly. I find the iPhone 7 far superior after the initial excitement of getting the X has died down. It's lighter and one can also quickly go to an ap or exit by swiping up. The home button is irreplaceable. Thankfully I have two iPhones 7 and shall consider buying one more to keep me in good stead in the the next two years. The X will be my daughter's - their generation is so much more adept at adaptation.

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.

I have been using Netatmo at two houses for years, very reliable, batteries last incredibly long.

RE: [apple-iphone] Outdoor temperature sensor with iPhone app

I'm not sure what your budget is on this, Patti, but I have a Davis VantageVue (https://www.davisnet.com/solution/vantage-vue/) unit that offers an iPhone app after purchasing an ethernet adapter for the base. It's a little spicy, price wise, but I like to have a good eye on the weather, and be able to monitor the weather at (and inside) my house from anywhere.

Hi everyone -

My Oregon Scientific outdoor weather gadget stopped working 6 months ago, and I'm shopping for an outdoor weather gadget with iPhone app or access to the data. I mainly want temperature information.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Patti

[apple-iphone] Re: X

I went from the 6S to the X.  Although I found the 6S cumbersome shape wise, I was immediately comfortable with the X.  I can't get over how great it feels in my hands and how easy it was to adjust to the lack of home button.  The Face ID is crazy fast too.  I have no regrets at all.

Obviously, different strokes for different folks.
On each of these points, my findings are exactly the opposite.

Yes, a 7 or an 8 is lighter, but on the one hand, the alternative for me would be a 7+ or an 8+, which are not, and on the other, the X has the best hand feel for me of any iPhone I've handled (which inlude the 3G, 3Gs, 4, 4s, 5s, 6+, 6s).

Within 1 week of receiving my iPhone X I was already wishing I had FaceID on my iPad and my Mac…

My opinion matches Jim's on all points.

Re: [apple-iphone] X

I Got the X for Christmas and i LOVE it. I bought an Otterbox for it as well as a Mophie Wireless Charger. I love the Double-Click to use the Apple Pay and even THAT uses the Face ID which is AWESOME. The only part i see people having an issue with is The Notifications as you swipe Down the Left side for That and the right is used for control Center.
