Re: [apple-iphone] Recording phone conversation app

Thanks so much to the ones of you that posted a reply.  Alvin, I can say that I had not thought about using the speaker phone!  That would probably work for the one time that I wanted to use it.

I had seen some apps, but really did not like having a third party.  I could not figure out how to make it all work together. lol  For now, using the speaker phone would probably work.

Thanks so much.  Maybe if anyone else finds out anything, they can post.  Mike, I know it would be a big help for you for your interviews!  They use to make a little "suckcun cup" that you could attach to the regular phones and it would be plugged into the recorder.  It worked great.  I think it would even work for our cell phones, but I got mine years ago from Radio Shack.  All of our Radio Shacks have closed and I would never be able to find the one I had.  They probably have them other places, but I have not checked.  Mike, you might want to check for something like that.

I don't know much about this type of thing, but perhaps you could put your phone on speaker phone and use a tape recorder, and also have someone else near you listening but not participating in the conversation.

Re: [apple-iphone] Removing passcode?

I'm with Brent about not deleting it. If you are using TouchID you can't delete it. If you aren't using TouchID you should set it up. It will bypass the need to type in the passcode but still secure your phone.

Re: [apple-iphone] Removing passcode?

It is possable if you know the current passcode. Go to Settings and then Touch ID and pass code. Put in the current code. On the next screen select change passcode. Save the new passcode with nothing in it and you are done. You didn't ask but I would not do it.

Re: [apple-iphone] iphone 6 dropping bluetooth calls

Hi ,  thanks Pat for the reply.   I am sometimes within 2-3 feet or even holding the phone and notice that when it goes black, (sleeping) that the person on the other end says something like, "are you there?"  "I can't hear you".  So when I wake the phone up, unlocking it, the active call resumes.   I used to be able to leave my phone in my pocket then calls were very bad.
I will try calling Verizon next week.
thanks again.   Linda

***Are you sure that you are not roaming out of Bluetooth range while you are talking?  I often use the same headset with my iPhone 6s on AT&T without dropping calls.  I keep my phone in my pocket.

Hello all, I have a recurring problem that is frustrating.  when I use my bluetooth headset during a call at home my iphone 6 goes to sleep and drops the call or starts to drop the call.  It doesn't happen all the time at home where my Verizon cell service is not great.  I had better call quality on my iPhone 5.  The headset is a LG tone pro that works great for podcasts &  music.  I don't usually use it outside the house.  so I am not sure of phone calls using it when I am not home.   I have had the phone for over one year and am using iOS 9.2.1  I am in the habit of connecting the headset and then setting my phone in a spot that gets decent service and I can roam about while still talking.   I am not sure if it is a iPhone issue or a Verizon issue.  I have not yet called Verizon as I thought I would reach out to the group as I have been helped to many times before just reading others questions and the answers.

Thanks in advance for any help, ideas, anything !

Re: [apple-iphone] Recording phone conversation app

be very interested if an app is discovered or created for this purpose. I have a radio show and would love to be able to do interviews etc by phone using my iPhone and a recorder app.

Re: [apple-iphone] Recording phone conversation app

If you search the App Store you will find several apps to record phone calls. None that I looked were free to use. You had to make a 3 way call with the recording service as the third party.
