I do not know for all apps but Google maps runs much differently on iPad than on iPhone.
They both are on same version of iOS;
Apparently, the app for iPad was written separately.
Similar difference could be there for some other apps too.

I am confused... wouldn't a bigger iPhone have to be able to run iPad Code to act like an iPad?? I suspect that a bigger screen on an iPhone might mean bigger views of the same presentations and only result in less squinting and maybe more accurate touching... am I completely wrong???
