I lived with it for 35 years until I had an ablation procedure. It is a genetic defect, supposedly passed down to the descendants of William the Conqueror - supposedly the first person documented with the problem.
Some forms are genetic, others are not.
I am interested what app they used to monitor the afib - is is just an app that uses the microphone, or does it require add-on hardware as the other posts suggest?
It is a single-lead electrocardiogram.
Looks just like what your cardiologist would get if he didn't have a modern 3-channel machine.
