Thanks. I have done that - the songs appear as purchased (I also have the receipt from when they were purchased). One song is part of an album - all of the rest of the songs on that album are good. But nothing come up in "Not in my library" - it says there is nothing to be downloaded. I only see them when I select "All".

If you haven't already, I would try logging into the iTunes store on your PC.  Be sure that the user account that was used to purchase the songs is indicated on the left side of the tool bar & then click on Purchased shown under the Quick Links section.  Then click Music>Songs>Not in My Library.  If it doesn't work it won't hurt anything.
