OMG Leti. There's a lot in that thread and I am just off on holiday. Thanks - there's a solution somewhere in all that, when I get a moment! It is clearly an IOS7 upgrade issue. I shall have my laptop (with which I sync) on holiday, so have MS Outlook and all my iphone syncs and backups with me, and will work on it.
