I saw this post earlier and wrote down the instructions. It will delete all the messages on the iphone. Needs to be done for each mail box.
I think they will still be on your computer in mail.app if you haven't deleted them there.
First choose the edit button then
1. in phone mail, choose first mail and choose delete dot at the left
2. at very bottom of the screen below the emails choose the move button at hold it down with one hand and keep it held down.
3. deselect the mail you selected at first- while still holding move botton with other hand.
4. Then let it go and you will get a message that all the mail will disappear and then you get a notice do you want to rid all the mail.
say yes and it will all disappear.
I think if you have flagged certain emails they too will disappear.
Be sure all the mail was already read and you want to get rid of it.
