That's what I was thinking. Yes, it has limitations but surely we sync with our computer calendars which don't have those same limitations. For instance, in iOS 6 Calendar I can set up an event to repeat every week, every 2 weeks, or every month, but *not* every 4 weeks. In OS X Calendar I can choose any number of weeks.
