You will probably have to go on eBay to get one of the Belkins that were made before the FCC forced them to power down. Don't bother with the ones that are analog tuned or the ones that only tune four frequencies - there are ones that digitally tune the entire band. Unfortunately, they leave out 87.9 which is blank in all but four locations around the country.
If you are a bit technically proficient, you can intercept the output and hang 31 inches of wire on it. I modified one and got it to transmit 70 feet, which got all over my property! I was streaming Z88.3 from Orlando, and re-broadcating on - 88.3 - which was blank where I lived!
Battery life isn't great on those things.
CCrane has some really good RM modulators, but they are larger and cost $70.
