Two years ago was March, 2012. At that time the current version was iOS 5.x
iOS 6 was released in September 2012.
iOS 6.1.5 was released in November 2013.
iOS 6.1.6 was released in the last few weeks, with the important security update that is also in iOS 7.1 for users of newer machines than that.
