Ok, so the problem with all this is you never know until AFTER you've sent it, what it went as and if you'll be charged or not. Not having a texting plan, every message in and out costs. I want to know if I'll be charged before it is sent. Once it's sent, it's too late.
I have an unlimited data plan, but even if I didn't, I have a data plan, so it's covered in my normal bill. With these text messages, I cannot control my bill as even spam that gets sent to me, I have to pay for the privilege of receiving that junk. Not only that, but then to stop it, I have to then pay to send another text to say stop. I don't have a text plan because I don't want or use texting attached to my phone number. I can text for free with a third party app. Problem is, I can't disable texting itself. And with iMessage intertwined with SMS message, I guess they can't be decoupled. I don't use iMessage either because I don't text and if I did, how am I to know if the other person has the same phone as me?
