No better to have the same iTunes login and account even if she has a separate user id on your computer (if using Mac). Otherwise just make sure that download all Apps, music and books is off in the settings and you can both access the same account and download your own apps but won't have to buy them twice (for paid apps). It will recognize that you have already purchased and let you download again.
