Well, the Podcast app does do one thing that the regular music app doesn't....
I can download podcasts on the Podcast app BEFORE I can download them in the iTunes app, on the phone.
For some reason, certain podcasts that I listen to always seem to post to the iTunes program on the computer, (the PC that I sync my iPhone/iPad to), a full day before they are available on the iTunes app on the iPhone itself. I don't know why this is, but it just is.
I get the email notifying me of a new podcast from the podcaster the day it is released. It is NOT on iTunes on the iPhone. It IS listed on iTunes on the PC. It is NOW listed in the Podcast app on the iPhone. So this is a plus...
In the new podcast app, I can download these podcasts as soon as they are released. Not a day later....
Other than that, the Podcast app is very slow, and it also locks up quite often...
