Re: [apple-iphone] Cloud sync & Outlook 2010

>I have an iPhone 4S and I sync with iTunes it syncs with my Outlook 2010 Contacts and Calendars on my home computer. I have been syncing with my computer via USB. I am considering switching to the Cloud backup system but have been told that I cannot do this because I also syncing with my Outlook program. Can anyone tell me if this is really the case? If it can be done could someone provide me with a URL with instructions to do so.

Apple has a free utility to achieve this:

After some three months of use, I'm not yet "dead sure" if it works.

That may well be due to my setup: I installed Outlook 2010 on 4 PCs in
total (and Outlook 2007 on another one), I installed the utility
(driver with control panel) on all of them, along with its Google
counterpart.
Apart from an iPad I use two Windows Mobile devices. I also intend to
add my Android tablet to the club.

I had used Outlook 2003 until then, on a single PC (and the small
stuff).

Somehow I now have duplicate items, notably on my iPad.
On the other hand I seem to have lost quite some items upon
synchronizing with the first hitherto "clean" systems, but I was
fortunate to have a quite recent back-up of Outlook.pst.
(I may not have really lost them. They may reside in personal folders
outside synchronization. I get rather uncomfortable with the addition
of a personality with each e-mail account added.)

The few times that I create appointments on my iPad, I don't see them
in Outlook 2010 at once. From PC to iPad is rather swift.

I haven't yet figured out, what settings to change.

As I said: my personal issues may well be due to my personal
situation.
Whatever, do backup on all devices before taking the plunge.

Hope this helps. :-)
