Any suggestions for a protective case for as N iPhone 8 Plus that's no more than about $25?I saw a drop test video and with the first drop, the iPhone 8 Plus cracked the front screen and the second drop it cracked the back.

I don't know of a reliably protective case for that price.
Apple sells a silicone case for $39.
My 9.7" iPad Pro has such a silicone case on it, and the silicone on 2 of the corners has split from when it slipped and hit a hard surface. The silicone split in the corner, but the iPad was undamaged.
Also Nuguard KX makes a highly protective $35 case:
