Hi Nick
Thanks for your concern.
My original question was more or less: "Will a 'Restore iPhone' done from iTunes replace the iOS on my iPhone?" or something like that.
That is all that I was wondering about.
I found out the answer to my question by actually doing the Restore. Doing it took awhile, but was not major surgery.
Maybe my issue is that I frequently do try out apps by downloading and installing them. Most of these trial apps get deleted within a day or two, but I have found that sometimes they leave traces of themselves behind. Doing reboots and Factory Resets from time to time can clean out a lot of cobwebs, but I wanted to get a REALLY clean start by replacing the entire OS. Hence the question about Restore.
Thanks again...

But Bim, you haven't said why you performed radical surgery (a RESTORE) on your phone. That's what Jim is asking. And if a phone under warranty is not performing, then it may not be wise to try to fix it without official advice. If you've already done it, then I hope it improved whatever was wrong (which you haven't mentioned at all)

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
