And if you do NOT share an AppleID, I'm pretty sure you cannot share apps…

I share my AppleID with my wife, so calendar and reminders and apps, etc., are available on her iPhone as well as mine.

But we have different phone numbers, which is what we designate for text messages, so hers stay on her phone, and mine on mine.

I specifically set it up so that my text messages appear on my iPad and my Mac as well as my iPhone, but not on hers.
