RE: [apple-iphone] Re: Question About New Phone Received Today

It shouldn't matter much, since your restore will just be data not related to the subscriber information for the phone.  Just make sure you make new back-ups of your current phones immediately prior to restoring on the new phones, so you don't lose any data.

Thanks! Should I let them do the switching before I restore then?

You should be able to take care of this by calling AT&T.  At the worst, you might need to give them IMEI numbers of the phones, but they should probably be able to do it with just the phone numbers.  No need to go to the store unless you just want to :-)

Subject: [apple-iphone] Question About New Phone Received Today

Hi all,

I have a couple questions about the new phone I received today. Is it necessary for me to actually go into the AT&T store to activate it if I am doing a restore from iTunes? My husband has a 5s now and I am giving him my 6. The new 6Splus is going to be mine. I have backed up both phones and am going to do a restore from backup after the switch.

Also, if I do need to go there can I do the restore beforehand or should I wait for them to do their thing?

Thanks much!

Shellie
