I read that many iPhone 6+ owners were not able to sync with iTunes because their phones were not recognized. I had been able to do so when I first got my 6+, but I never synced after that. After reading posts from others, I found my 6+ wasn't recognized either. I tried several suggestions to no avail and gave up.
After I updated to iOS 9.1, I decided to try syncing with iTunes, and my phone was finally recognized.
Just thought I would pass this information along.
