I have an iPhone 6 and have been having issues with iMessage since before iOS 9. Often they don't go through and I have to send SMS and even some of them don't go through.

Thanks Brent. I will call Apple support tomorrow. The AT&T rep I spoke to at the store said that he was experiencing this on his iPhone as well.
