It was clear from a small part of the presentation that the 6's have heart-rate sensors. It is even more obvious from the specs listed on Apple's website.
What I am frustrated by is the lack of pulse oximetry, particularly since Apple hired a top person from Masimo (leading maker of pulse oximetry hardware) away from them, and further since Masimo markets a small portable pulse oximeter than can plug into an iPhone.
