Oh, it is relevant, to what we suggest as solutions.
There are no flame wars here. I may be a crabby at times, but I will not give you any grief over your choice of platforms.
In the case below, you don't want a iCloud account, so you can't use that as a solution, and you don't have a Mac, so you can't look at that to see if that would better resolve the issue. It is relevant as to which platform you use. No flaming here, just a desire to give you an appropriate answer. So for now, using Yahoo web email sounds like a good choice for you. There is no one answer for all. Besides I would not want to forward all my email to another account. Just one more thing that could break or go wrong.
Nothing wrong with PCs, and I my guess is that we have a pretty even mix of PC and Mac users here. I have used both. I prefer Mac, but I am fairly competent in Windows for the basics. Every platform and OS has good points and bad points. What works best for the individual is a personal choice, and the one you are comfortable with, is the one you will have the most success with.
Like I said in another reply recently, "If people would include a signature like below when they post a question or problem, we could stop guessing so much."
And from other posts, you are correct, the cellphone policies in the US are not the best, but it is what we have to work with. I envy your ability to tether without additional charges. I wish I could buy an unsubsidized phone and get lower rates, because when you do bring a unsubsidized phone to a new plan or carrier, we don't get a break.

It's a PC but that isn't relevant actually.
My solution is that I use yahoo webmail and it works sweet. No settings configuration etc.
