Were you also aware that the best exchange rate to get Euros is from a bank owned ATM machine at the airport? Regarding your phone, you can set it to enable WiFi calling and rent a device like TravelWiFi or SkyRoam which would give you data as well. Keep in mind that you will go through US Customs at the Ireland airport when you return to the States so allow extra time for this. Just past Customs is the 51st & Green Lounge, which is well worth paying extra to use, because of all the free food (whole meals) & beverages. You can book this online for 35 Euros or pay 39 at the door. It's free if you're travelling business class.
