Re: [apple-iphone] clock on display

Waking the phone up shows the time but I want it to appear in the screen of the sleeping phone as a screensaver.  I'd like to see the time and date without touching the phone.

I presume however that this is not possible on the iPhone.

Indubitably such a feature would consume power.  This feature is there in other makes - I'll let you know the model and make names.

I just pick mine up and it wakes and shows the lock screen with time and date. I have Settings > Display & Brightness > Raise to Wake enabled. I'm guessing there might be a hit on battery life with this?

As our moderator said, it would run the battery down to have the clock showing all the time.

If your your iphone is in sleep mode, one or two clicks of the home key will show you the time. No apps needed.
