Good tips in the link that you provided. I will make sure she has the 10.1.1 update as per Pat and if we have another problem we will try these tips.
I also noticed what I thought was an unrelated problem with all of our iPhones and iPads all of mine are kept updated with the latest iOS versions.
At a relatives house we were able to use her verizon wifi to get on the Internet with no problems.j Recently however we still connect to the router but can not get on the Internet.
I discovered that if I turned off the wifi on my phone then I was able to connect via cellular. Apparently the phone did not switch to cellular automatically when I was not connecting to the Internet. Same for my wife's phone and my relatives phone. My relative does not have any computers or devices that are Internet enabled other than the iPhone we gave her a couple of months ago.
