Photos are not synced. Plug in your iPhone then on the computer go to "computer" there you will see the iPhone listed under devices and drives. Double click the icon and you should see internal storage (or something similar I have win 10). Double click that and you should see a DCIM folder double click that and you will see an apple folder, click on that and all your photos will be visible. Select the ones you want and drag and drop or use cut and paste to move what you want.
Also there are apps like PhotoSync that allow wireless transfer. I like that one.
Or if you have office 365 you can allow one drive to access your photos and they will be synced to your one drive folder on your computer anytime you take a photo.
As far as the user guides go I used the iBooks version. Maybe that can be printed out????

First I will admit to being a dinosaur. We just got our first ever smart phone this week. It is an iPhone 6s. I have a thousand questions but I'll start with just two...
Is there somewhere I can get a hard copy of a user's guide? I have found several place that have user guides but they are only readable on IOS devices. I want something I can print and hold in my hands. Probably a pdf format.
Second, How do I transfer photos from my iPhone to my Win 7 desktop PC? I have the iPhone connected to the PC with the USB cable. I open iTunes on the PC and it seems to want to transfer files from apps on the iPhone to the PC. I don't see anything about photos.
