Hello... My experience was this: I installed iOS8 on my iPhone 5s (and an older iPod touch) and declined to switch over to the iCloud Drive. Now I cannot see any of my iWork documents on either of them. However, I CAN still access them from my Mac. (Mavericks).
Before I upgrade the Mac to Yosemite I am going to copy and paste everything valuable that I have on iCloud to my Office Libre library on my Mac where Apple will leave them alone... if I have learned anything about the internet, it is that stuff saved up there is totally beyond my control and might disappear at any time.
I hope that after upgrading, everything will re-appear in iCloud Drive on all of my devices, but if it does not, my life will not be destroyed...
