The iPad mini isn't one handed either. I hold it on my lap and type 2 handed with both my index fingers. My iPhone I hold in one hand and type with my 2nd hand index finger. Always been a 2 handed cellphone user.

BUT, the key is to 1), embrace it as generally a two handed phone, 2) place the commonly used apps on the bottom half of the screen, 3) get used to the whatever its called function that allows you to double tap the home button for bottom screen use

Alice my wife I got the Plus model. I'm very happy with the extra screen size. She has smaller hands and isn't quite as happy, except when she's surfing or watching videos or reading her mail, or playing games…(that is, when she's using it! When she's just holding it in her hand, it feels too large…)
