I upgraded my 4S 32 Gig to iOS 8.1. It went smoothly and, so far, there has been NO crashes or anything negative with the phone's operations.

I upgraded through my laptop and made sure that all Apps were synched BEFORE downloading iOS 8.1. It was installed by hardwire to the computer. When the phone reset to iOS 8.1 I then was informed that there were 32 updated Apps waiting. Once they were installed and synched (by hard wire) - there has been no problem with any Apps. BTW the only "games" I play are Bejeweled and Star Mania.

IOS 8.x fully support for Iphone 6, so if you have Iphone 4s, 5S, i suggest don't up grate.

All my friend that up grate IOS of Iphone 4 to IOS 6 was regret, They wish they never did it.

These days I'm really doubtful whether installing or not iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 4s.
I actually have one more problem because I decided to stay with iOS 5.1.1 and now I can't upgrade to iOS 7.x.
I can live with the old ios but I listen to the sirens of the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus (maybe better than the small one).
However -even if I read different opinions- if I change ios I'm cetainly going to face a lor of troubles and all in all I'll have a slower phone.

Perhaps it is time to spend my money and get the new iPhone ;-)
