Re: [apple-iphone] MIght switch to a Mac from PC.

You can Export your Windows Quicken data & import it into a version of Quicken for Mac but may lose some details. Intuit came out with various Mac versions, which I've tried but they all lacked features I use that are in the original.

Apple Mail let's you set up an Exchange account easily. I read/send my company's Exchange email on both Mac & iPhone.

I just switched from Android to an the X and have a good deal on a small 2017 21" i5 8gb 1tb  iMac that a

friend needs to sell. I could pretty much swap it out with the 23" HP all in one and put it in the same spot. The iMac has better screen and faster too as my HP is some years old.

I have never used a Mac since the little b&w box way back :> and not sure how the transferring stuff will go.

I did Google it, but wanted "real life experiences" if anyone here did that before.

I am backing up all my important stuff to an external HD as I heard that is faster than the transfer utility,

but will my Windows Quicken data, Outlook email save file and things like that work with the Mac versions?

I do not have Outlook IMAP, its POP so a lot of important stuff saved there.

If this goes smooth, down the road I will swap out my Surface Pro for a Macbook Pro or Air.

Thanks,

Rich

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.
