For the what it's worth department, I've had no problems with FaceID and have only had to input my passcode a couple of times since November.

Animojis would be fun but is soon get tired of them. I'll wait for facial recognition to get better. If the 8 Plus and X aren't side-by-side, I'm not able to tell the difference in screen resolution. I usually don't take selfies. I'm not a game that needs AR.The only thing that I would have really liked and used, is better stabilization and clarity for telephoto shots.Different features for different people 😃

My thoughts were, much better screen and cameras, facial id and the AR and Animojis. Also most
importantly the design is the future of the iPhone. So I thought why get the old model and to just
get the future and learn how to use it, as it's a little different.
I used older iPhones before and the X is much better from the way I like things. A big screen in
a small phone similar to the S8/S9.

Thanks to everyone for their replies - my new phone is on its way and I'm excited!
Can anyone tell me why I might have wanted the X instead of the 8?
