Re: [apple-iphone] MIght switch to a Mac from PC.

I just bought an external SDD and a ssd enclosure for it and I'm going to use it as a External for ALL my 4K video's and edits as well as My Adobe Premier Elements.  SSD's are inexpensive mine cost me $67 from Best Buy and it's a 240GB snd ordered a Enclouse for $9 from Amazon. That's pretty cheap compared to buying one equipped with one.

I finally have everything switched over, it was really not that hard to do it manually, only

needed an external HD.  I even have Quicken 2018 working with my data.

I really like the keyboard and magic mouse, you can even swipe and tap on the mouse
like a touchpad.  So far I really like everything, a little learning curve to the keyboard shortcuts.
No home and end buttons and delete does not always delete, need to get used to it.

I have a couple questions as never using a Mac and iPhone.

? The iMac is better spec wise than the PC its replacing, but seems to run slower?
A few second delay when starting anything.  It updated to High Sierra after I got it.

?  I expected things to be much faster and trying to use the Apple stuff like Safari
and Mail, Chrome and Spark run much much faster.  I wanted to try to stick with
as much Apple stuff as I could so it would sync with iCloud, but already using Chrome.

?  How do I see what all is running, it was ctrl-alt-del on the PC.  I added a lot of things
so I want to see what is going on and possibly slowing things up.

? I installed Plex and added all my pics and vids, but once the computer goes to sleep
it does not turn on when Plex is trying to access it from the iPhone or any app?  I think
my PC did, kinda forget though as I didn't use Plex a lot.

? Is the firewall built into Mac OS High Sierra enough or should I add virus malware stuff?
I know Macs are really good at this, but seen some say use something.
