Having looked at both iPhone 8 Plus and X, I opted for the 8 Plus. 

Animojis would be fun but is soon get tired of them. I'll wait for facial recognition to get better. If the 8 Plus and X aren't side-by-side, I'm not able to tell the difference in screen resolution. I usually don't take selfies. I'm not a game that needs AR.

The only thing that I would have really liked and used, is better stabilization and clarity for telephoto shots.

Different features for different people 😃
