lobbiesforme, Visual Voice Mail is built into iOS 10 for iPhone 6s and later. I don't thin it has anything to do with your carrier.

Ok I'm with Verizon. I called them and they said "visual voice mail has been discontinued to several models including Apple 6s". She says I could dial *86 to hear the messages and to press '#' to bypass the initial greeting.
