Continue to calibrate it and see if it corrects itself.
I have a iPhone 4S, iOS 8.? and it previously worked correctly. Right now while it is plugged in, it is a bit off, but it corrects itself with in a minute after unplugging.

Subject: [apple-iphone] Compass is 180° out
This is very odd. The compass supplied with my iPhone 6 plus is wrong by exactly 180 degrees. The GPS is fine and this is not due to interference as it is the same at any site. When calibrated as usual, by rolling the little ball around, the N point immediately swings to the south. There is no obvious means of rsetiing or adjusting it
