It is possible that you accidentally changed folders in notes to one that doesn't have any. At the top of the notes screen is there a left arrow (see picture)? If so tap the arrow and select the folder that has a number next to it. When you look at my 2nd picture you will see I have multiple folders.

Hi:
I don't know what happened. My iPhone 5 (iOS8.3 (12F70)…) was in my pocket, and when I pulled it out to check something I discovered that all my notes had somehow been erased. Message:"No notes".
