[apple-iphone] iPhone 5 not being recognized

 

I admit I have not backed up in a few weeks so today when I connected my iPhone5 to my MacbookPro, the computer did not recognize my phone in either iTunes or Photos.

I have not changed anything myself.

What do I need to do to do to get my backup so I can do the latest OS update?
