I thought it provided an independent, stronger, connection to the cellular network, that your cellphones could then use.Apparently it is essentially a Wifi hub, in that it brings your existing internet connection to your cellphones wirelessly — except that it uses cellular technology to do so instead of normal Wifi technology.
I might have misread it too, but isn't it a means of giving you your own tiny cell "tower", connected to AT&T's cell network via broadband?
