What do you pay for how much service?

I pay AT&T $54 per month for one line with unlimited talk and text plus 2GB data that rolls over any unused portion each month.  The MicroCell device doesn't have a service fee and I think I paid a little over $100 for it a few years ago.  A few list posters have said they persuaded the company to provide the device for free when their service was unsatisfactory, but I didn't have that luck!
