Like Pat, we ended up with a microcell, which solved the problem completely. I see from the AT&T site that the microcell presupposes a separate broadband connection, by fiber or by coax, to which to connect your calls. It probably would not give satisfactory results with a slow DSL connection over copper wire.

You're right in this post as well as the previous one regarding WiFi boosting the cell signal.  I can't speak to the required speed of the broadband connection because mine is a fast one.  I'm sure that AT&T could provide specifics.
