After installing a MicroCell unit available from AT&T, I have no problems and always enjoy five bars of service while in range of the unit. Here's some info about the device:

What do you pay for how much service?

The MicroCell device doesn't have a service fee and I think I paid a little over $100 for it a few years ago.

I think I misinterpreted what the Microcell did. I thought it provided an independent, stronger, connection to the cellular network, that your cellphones could then use.

Apparently it is essentially a Wifi hub, in that it brings your existing internet connection to your cellphones wirelessly — except that it uses cellular technology to do so instead of normal Wifi technology.
