Right. What caused me trouble, aside from the fact that the latest Apple ones are flimsier, is attaching a battery to one end and then plugging into my phone to charge it on the go. When I put it in my purse, one end bent some. Same with hubby's shirt pocket.

Most cables will suffer early death if repeatedly bent sharply.
