I work for a global company that provides each employee with an iPhone (that is encouraged to be used for business and personal use). We are not issued any special security percautions to be taken when travelling to foreign countries. I would suggest that she keep all her contact information on her iPhone so it is handy in case of emergency. She should concentrate on issues regarding theft, with an iPhone being a small part of the equation. How would you replace stolen money, credit cards and cell phone? Theives seem to travel in teams and attempt to distract a person. I suggest you view the many U-Tube videos on the subject and guide her accordingly. For example, a lady slipped on some stairs and everyone looked in that direction. When they looked back, they noticed that a laptop bag (sitting on the ground) had been stolen.
